Mama and I took an Elderhostel trip for a week in Lafayette, Louisiana. Eerie swamps with real alligators. Lots of good Cajun food. And some downright stomping accordion, especially Lee Benoit and the Bayou Stompers. Got back into taking photos.
A big part of my job used to be helping people let go of stuff (clutter/hoarding). I took photos of that process for 15 years. Lately I've been documenting other things, events where people are doing something fun and/or good, like gardening for instance. Plants and people catch my eye mostly. I take their pictures as a way to hold on to something good or to try to get something good to happen.
That's me, on the right, reflected in that weird mirrored sculpture in Millenium Park. Michael (in red) is my honey, and sometimes my co-author. Mama (in green) has since given me a better camera. The camera helps me reflect on the other 2, and much else besides.
