Words and Pictures

I've been reading Scott McCloud's book, Understanding Comics. I've also been at my local coffee shop, practicing for my documentary photography class. When I was processing the photos a little story appeared. Take a look at this documentary fumetti (comics with photos instead of drawings). I'm really quite pleased with it.

Hi Irene,
My husband, Howie, met your husband at the radio station yesterday and got onto your site, which we just love. I LOVE your fumetti! Also the John Cleese one was amazing! I often have thought an "eavesdropping" project would be something, but never could figure out how to do it. You've done it! I love sitting in coffee shops and restaurants and overhear bits of conversations...it's like being in a foreign film. I like especially hearing the more dramatic epics. Even phone conversations are very entertaining...people seem to not be aware how loud they talk. And one can imagine all sorts of drama from a one sided emotional conversation. Should I even admit to this fascination? I suppose more people than naught enjoy this sort of entertainment, so thanks for the brilliant fumetti!
